Not sure where to find it? See the steps below.

What to send, word for word

Send it the same day the job is done, while they're still happy. Ask every customer, not only the ones you think loved it. Google's rules don't allow picking only happy customers, and honest mixed reviews still help you.

Where to find your review link

  1. Easiest: on your phone or computer, sign in to the Google account that manages your business. Search Google for your business name. On your profile panel, tap Ask for reviews (sometimes under Read reviews or Get more reviews). Copy the link it gives you and paste it above.
  2. Or use your Place ID: open Google's Place ID finder, type your business name, and copy the ID that starts with ChIJ.
  3. No Google profile yet? Create one at business.google.com first. It's free, and it's the single biggest thing for local calls.
Rules that keep your profile safe
  • Never offer money, discounts or gifts for reviews.
  • Never write reviews for customers, or have staff or family review you.
  • Ask everyone. Don't screen out unhappy customers first.
  • Reply to every review, good and bad, within a few days.

See Google's review policy.
